Goal

English translated hentai games, whether they are done by fans or professionals, are few and far between. The majority of fan translated hentai games are of the more popular, softer genre of hentai and can take forever to finish...if they are even finished at all. And while there are a few professionally translated gems, most are years old and have the same cliched story lines. Either way, compared to the sheer amount of hentai games Japan releases each month, the amount that make it into English is miserably small.

Machine translations, like Atlas, are extremely unreliable and error prone. One sentence may be perfectly legible, while the next turns into slew of gibberish that only leaves you feeling frustrated. In the end, machine translations severely degrade the quality and fun of what makes at least half a hentai game great: the story.

So, with that said, my goal with Dark Translations is to bring a semi-professional, English-translated feel towards some of the darkest (and most neglected) hentai games out there on a regular basis. The community is what will ultimately decide how prosperous this endeavor will be. I intend to keep translating until the bitter end, but my pacing and motivation will depend a lot on the level of support I get.

It may be ambitious, it may be crazy, but it's fun.
